Event Details

We're excited to announce that MediaFunnel is sponsoring the December 10 Social Media Breakfast -- which means the breakfast will be presented at no cost! We hope you'll join us to enjoy conversation with other East Bayers with an interest in social media. We'll also hear presentations from MediaFunnel's Andreas Wilkens and from Shannon Whitley, the speaker we originally had scheduled for our postponed November event.

About our sponsor

MediaFunnel logo

MediaFunnel provides an array of features that allows organizations to generate more consistent outbound content.  Teams can monitor social media conversations and respond to customer service needs, prospect inquiries and generally engage their audience and influencers in real-time conversations.

With its new Guest Posting feature, which integrates SMS texting and email, MediaFunnel allows retail organizations to directly engage shoppers.

Andreas Wilkens is a serial-entrepreneur and co-founder of MediaFunnel, a social media management tool for organizations that are looking to improve their real-time engagement with customers, prospects and key influencers.

You can sign up for a free trial of MediaFunnel here.

About our speaker

Shannon Whitley’s discussion of social software promises to be insightful and illuminating, particularly given that this is a topic rarely addressed in social media circles. Shannon will talk about what it takes for an organization -- large or small -- to develop its own software to address its unique social media needs or challenges.

Shannon WhitleyShannon began his technical career in the mid-eighties, harnessing the power of the Commodore 64 from his family’s home in rural North Bend, Oregon. He later moved to Southern California where he studied to become an urban planner at the University of California, Irvine. Upon graduation, Shannon worked for several years as a technical writer before returning to school to become a computer programmer.

Working for organizations like Broadway Stores, AT&T Wireless, and Siebel Systems, Shannon specialized in HR Systems and the PeopleSoft ERP software.

Shannon is married with two children and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He blogs at Voice of Tech and is @swhitley.

The Details

We’re returning to the Buttercup Grill and Bar in Oakland for the December gathering, where we’ll also discuss potential other locations. And, as always, there will be plenty of opportunity for networking with others who share your interest in social media.

We hope to see you there!
